A Referee Assessor:
- Has attained a minimum referee grade level of 7
- Has performed at least 15 developmental evaluations on grade 7 and 8 referees
- Has been approved by the State Director of Assessment
- Has at least one year in grade as an associate assessor
- Is at least 26 years of age
Following satisfactory performance the Provisional status may be removed and certification will be at the Referee Assessor level. Individuals then become eligible for the next assessor level.
A State Assessor
- Has assessed a minimum of 30 affiliated games
- Has the recommendation of the State Director of Assessment
- Has successfully completed all requirements of the State Assessor course
